As part of this year’s Olympic Day event at Corby Athletics Stadium on Wednesday 26th June, we are launching a flag competition – new for 2024!
Pupils are invited to enter a competition to design their school’s ‘Olympic flag’. Designs must be A4 sized (landscape) and submitted to us by Thursday 28th March. Chair of GB Olympians and gold medal-winning sprinter Joslyn Hoyte-Smith MBE will choose a winning design from each school and these designs will be printed ahead of our Olympic Day.
The pupils will then be invited to take part in an ‘opening ceremony’ at the start of our Olympic day, completing a lap of the athletics track in their school groups carrying their Olympic flag.
Designs should reflect your school’s ethos and values. We hope this will be a fantastic opportunity for pupils not taking part in our Olympic Day or who are more creative than sporty.
